Vehicle Rental Agreement: Terms and Conditions

I. Rental Period
  • The rental period begins on the date and time specified in the rental agreement and continues until the vehicle is returned to the rental location.
II. Payment
  • The renter agrees to pay all charges associated with the rental of the vehicle, including but not limited to rental charges, taxes, fees, and any charges for additional services or options requested by the renter.
III. Insurance
  • The renter must have a valid insurance policy in effect during the rental period.
  • The rental company may offer additional insurance coverage for an additional charge, which the renter may accept or decline.
  • The insurance covers damages to the rental vehicle, losses, and third-party liability. The deductible amount is $600.
IV. Driver Qualifications
  • The renter must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
  • The renter must also have a good driving record and meet any other qualifications established by the rental company.
V. Use of Vehicle
  • The vehicle must be used only by the renter and any authorized drivers listed in the rental agreement.
  • The vehicle must not be used for illegal purposes, for carrying hazardous materials, for racing, or for towing other vehicles.
VI. Maintenance and Repairs
  • The renter is responsible for routine maintenance of the vehicle, such as checking the oil, water, and tire pressure.
  • Any necessary repairs or maintenance must be performed by the rental company or authorized repair facilities.
VII. Damages
  • The renter is responsible for any damages to the vehicle during the rental period, including but not limited to damages resulting from collision, theft, or acts of nature.
  • The insurance covers damages to the rental vehicle, losses, and third-party liability, subject to the $600 deductible amount.
VIII. Fuel Policy
  • The renter is responsible for refueling the vehicle before it is returned.
  • If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than it had at the beginning of the rental, the rental company may charge a fuel fee.
IX. Late Return
  • If the vehicle is returned after the due date and time specified in the rental agreement, late charges may be assessed.
X. Cancellation Policy
  • The rental agreement may be cancelled by the renter at any time prior to the rental period for a full refund, subject to the rental company's cancellation policy.
XI. Secured Deposit
  • A $600 refundable secured deposit will be collected at the time of rental, which will be returned when the client returns the vehicle.
XII. Vehicle Delivery
  • The rental company offers the option of delivering the vehicle to the client's location, for an additional charge based on the distance to the destination.
  • This option is optional and up to the discretion of the client.
